Black Forest is a rural community northeast of Colorado Springs, known for its dense ponderosa pine forest and large-lot residential properties. Most homes here are custom builds on five-acre or larger parcels, with development spanning from the 1970s through today. The area is not incorporated and has a very rural character — long dirt driveways, well water, and septic systems are the norm.
